Gingrich's Disappointment

"I'm very, very let down because she told everybody she was a Republican, and she said she was a loyal Republican."

So says Newt Gingrich expressing his disappointment that Dede Scozzafava is now endorsing the Dem candidate in the NY-23 election. But how does this compute? A third party candidate screws the Republican candidate, but it's a betrayal that she doesn't endorse him?

The Republicans are a long way from their "Gingrich Revolution" glory days when they were all-powerful in DC. Now they're rolling over for wingnut candidates Gingrich would have once destroyed with a flick of his pinky claw. Still, makes me happy.
