First Amendment Denial

In a bizarre recent case, a Texas cheerleader claimed her school violated her First Amendment rights by punishing her for not cheering a player who had sexually assaulted her. The girl's parents had argued that the school violated her rights of "symbolic expression". But the court rejected the argument and sided with the school. How weird and cruel is that?

It's amazing how flexible the First Amendment can be as a tool for protecting corporate rights to fleece customers, tell lies and generally act like c*nts. Not so much for regular peeps however.
