Going Congressional

"Is it the voices again, John? Is it..? Just breathe into the bag nice and slowly..."

Is there any other job apart from elected representative where you get to spazz out and go 100% mental at work and not be fired? As a companion to the phrase 'going postal' I'd like to coin the new term 'going congressional' as a tribute to Congressman John Shadegg (R-AZ) who did just that:

"What we’re really getting here is we’re not just getting single-payer care. We’re getting full on Russian gulag, Soviet-style gulag health care."

Hell, if you said this in regular company, people would whisper anxiously about you and offer brown paper bags for you to breathe into. If you talked with this magnitude of insanity at work, you'd be escorted off the premises by security. But somehow it's OK for an elected representative to go balls-out, poop-hurling mental at work and get away with it?
