Matt Latimer, former Bush speech writer, says that author JK Rowling missed getting the Presidential Medal of Freedom because some amongst the Bush admin believed her books promoted sorcery.
The award, which acknowledges contributions to US national interest, world peace or cultural endeavors, was also denied to Ted Kennedy by Bushco.
