The Conservative Fifth Column... Taking Orders From BP???

When you think about how many sketchy foreign dollars are flooding in to fund GOP'ers in the midterms, it starts to look like this election is really a struggle between the American people and foreign corporations for control of the country. It's like a bloodless invasion by a foreign power has been launched, a corporate hostile takeover on a national level... And there's few clearer illustrations than this:

BP and several other big European companies are funding the midterm election campaigns of Tea Party favourites who deny the existence of global warming or oppose Barack Obama's energy agenda, the Guardian has learned.

This sh*t is depressing as hell. The only weapon "We The People" ever have at our disposal is our own common sense: We don't have endless funds to throw down for attack ads and propaganda; we don't have a tame news media to act as our PR department; we don't have the pols in DC in our pockets... only our common sense to defend ourselves with.

But too many of us have left our common sense at home and are just running cheerfully into the electoral ambush unarmed. So march on Godly Tea Party patriots... sell your vote, sell out your own country to guys like BP who are already working, literally, to destroy it.
