We've been though popular fads like pet rocks, rubik's cubes, leg warmers and full employment. Today's top fad is Islamaphobia and that oh-so kitchy trend for disparaging Islam as an ancient desert nomad religion that appeals to psychos. Yes, Islam sucks. It's nowhere near as civilized as our ancient desert nomad religion that appeals to psychos.

But let's not forget Christianity has its kooks too. I could see your 9-11 and raise you one Oklahoma City bombing... bin Laden and Timothy McVeigh? What's the big diff? And there are many lower level, non-fatal examples of religious stupidity we can pick on too. And maybe we should because harmless stupid can easily lead to dangerous stupid.

Take, for example, the "Galileo Was Wrong" folks. These are Catholic 'scientists' who are still fighting Galileo and Copernicus and their heretical heliocentrism. Jeez guys, it was 500 years ago... let it go! Say the proponents of the immovable earth theory:
