Rollover, MLK

Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr. and rightwing wackjob, is a cause celebre amongst wingnuts who love the idea of peeing on MLK's legacy by giving his half-witted reactionary niece a public voice. See, liberals, she's one of us... but you can't criticize her because she's also one of them. Awkward? Nope. I'd call a c*nt a c*nt irrespective.

King's known for stuff like bad-mouthing teachers, shilling for Phillip Morris, accusing pro-choicers of genocide on black America, denying climate change... all good, wholesome, conservative stuff. Now she's running her mouth on gay marriage and dropping her fave word 'genocide':

We don't want genocide ... We don't want to destroy the sacred institution of marriage ... Marriage between one man and one woman remains the guard against human extinction.

With 7+ billion of us weighing down the planet, it seems unlikely that gays getting hitched will make much of a dent in the population stats. Not like, for instance, that ol' climate change thing King denies that's killing 150,000 people every year according to the World Health Organization. Or Phillip Morris who profit from genocide (5.4 million dead smokers a year according to the WHO). I guess killing millions of people is not necessarily genocide. It's a subjective term that depends on your politics.
