Two days ago, 10,000 people marched in support of healthcare reform.
A coalition of groups led by unions including SEIU, AFSCME, UFCW and Health Care for Americans Now organized the rally in DC which drew participants from across the country. But guess what? It hardly got a mention on the MSM. Says Crooks & Liars:
It got a brief mention on some of the cable channels, but the only major TV network that carried live coverage of this healthcare reform rally in D.C. yesterday was Fox - and then, only to ridicule it.
Fox News put the crowd at "more than a thousand". This factual sleight of hand enabled every wingnut bozo in 'Merikuh to round down attendance to only a thousand and mock the rally as pissant compared to those mighty Teabagger events that, according to them, attract righteous patriots by the hundreds of thousands.
See how this sh*t works? Fox News are very smart, if poisonous, cookies. By their logic you could say Warren Buffet is on the poverty line because he only has 'more than a hundred dollars in the bank'. You could say WWII was nothing more than a minor spat because only 'more than a thousand people died'.
But what gives with the non-wingnut news channels and their conspicuous lack of coverage? I guess the pro-healthcare people spell better, have legitimate grievances and don't throw around colorful soundbites like "Mexicans Are Filthy Stinking Animals". That's the kind of stuff that makes you newsworthy these days. Having a legitimate point of view that impacts the common interests of all Americans? Nah.
Call me hyperbolic if you want, but this just shows what a toxic, stinking mess the MSM has become. They are literally operating as an intellectual Fifth Column against the interests of the people. Fox does it deliberately to advance their corporatist/authoritarian agenda. But WTF is CNN's excuse?

Looks like Harry is growing a pair, he just announced going the reconciliation route.
