Shadegg Retiring To Spend More Time With His Psychiatrist?

John Shadegg's 'Maddie Says': a live performance on a par with Hendrix doing 'Purple Haze' at Woodstock. He'll be missed.

John Shadegg, the insane Republican congressman from Arizona, is retiring at 60. Which begs the question why? After all, he's only about 8-years-old in Congressman years.

Has Shadegg been asked to step down because the GOP has been embarrassed by his borderline psychotic behavior as a congressman? If so, could they get around to weeding out a few of the others? Lest we forget, some Shadegg highlights:

  • Made an entire speech to the house brandishing a baby as a prop during the healthcare debate prefacing every point with "Maddie says..."

  • Likened 'Obamacare' to a "Soviet-style gulag".

  • Accused CAIR of "planting Muslim spies on capitol Hill".

  • During the chickenhawk panic about trying 9-11 terrorists in New York, Shadegg asked Mayor Bloomberg "how are you going to feel when it is your daughter that is kidnapped at school by a terrorist?"

It'll be easy to miss Shadegg's teabaggin' theatrics. He was entertaining and did a lot of good work for the Republican Democratic party.
