Disaster Looms

Massachusetts presumed lost, "Prolife" Brown gets to kill Healthcare reform, Wall Street rallies at chance to finish off the economy... Welcome to the Republican wet dream.

The DNC are mad:

"The campaign failed to recognize this threat, failed to keep Coakley on the campaign trail, failed to create a negative narrative about Brown, failed to stay on the air in December while he was running a brilliant campaign. It’s wishful thinking from a pollster, candidate and campaign team that were caught napping and are going to allow one of the worst debacle in American political history to happen on their watch that they are at the 11th hour are going to blame others."

As disaster looms for Martha Coakley in Massachusetts, let's wonder at the idiocy of "conserva-world". There's a healthcare reform bill that will almost certainly get squashed if Republican pantload Scott Brown prevails. So how does Brown get to be the "prolife candidate" when his win will perpetuate the corporate genocide that's killing off 40-odd-thousand Americans a year?

And how does Brown's likely win and the power it will give back to the GOP make stocks go up? WTF is wrong with Wall Street? The Republicans gave them enough rope to hang themselves and take the world economy down with them. Now they're all getting boners at the prospect of being able to slip the noose back on? Jeez. Either this country is insane or I am.

  1. Brown will likely only be a Senator for 3 years since he has to run again on 2012 and (hopefully) the Dems will have their shit together next time...but the worst part about his win is that he's guaranteed to use this as a launching pad of one unpleasant sort or another. We're stuck with this teabagging twat for many years to come.
