Ivana Trump and the 'little f***er' to whom she is married.
A Delta-Northwest flight from Palm Beach, Florida, was delayed two hours after another security situation. This time it wasn't al Qaeda. It was Ivana Trump spinning a hissy fit because some kids on the flight annoyed her.
[Trump] had to be escorted off a plane after launching a foul-mouthed tirade at noisy children... and 'physically escorted' back to the terminal by security guards, officials said.'From the initial contact until Miss Trump left the property, she was saying "f*** you" to all the deputies and called the children "little f***ers",' said a police spokesman.
The comments on this story follow the familiar pattern. How you react depends entirely on whether or not you have kids. And, to some extent, how conservative your politics are.
In my own pre-kid life, I used to flash the judgmental stink eye at noisy brats on planes or in stores and wonder why their parents didn't just shut them up. Then I became a parent and realized the truth. It doesn't matter if you're a laissez-faire hippy parent or an old-school beat 'em with sticks disciplinarian, kids act up and it's a force as irresistible as the tides of the ocean or the orbit of the planet. Trump had her kids so long ago she obviously lost touch with this reality. Either that or she's just another wealthy egomaniac who regards people around her as mere background talent in her own private movie.
Not to get too deep, but this is another example of what's at the root of every problem we experience as a society: lack of empathy and the subsequent lack of tolerance that comes with it. In other words, the built-in filter that regulates human interaction and keeps our society functioning. It's well developed in liberal types but sadly deficient in most conservatives. I wonder if Trump's a conservative?
"American socialite Ivana Trump has likened herself to Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, insisting they have a lot in common."
Ah ha... there we go.
