The healthcare reform bill is nothing more than a compromised-to-death piece of crap that has had all value sucked out of it by Republicans more interested in petty politics than justifying their salaries as representatives of the people. These obstructionist turds have whined, threatened and blocked whenever they get chance and, for some reason, Democrats have obliged them and humored them.
Now, after GOP'ers spent so much time complaining that the bill was too long for them to read, Mike Enzi (R-WY) says:
"We talk about 2,074 pages, which seem like a lot, and it would be for a normal bill that you could debate in a limited period of time, which is what we're being asked to do. But 2,074 pages isn't nearly enough to cover health care for America."
They really are trying everything. Sad thing is, it's working.

The Repuglicans and their followers, how come the dumbarses don't ask the moral repuglicans one question: "Why can't I have the health care you and your family has"?
ReplyDeleteMost of them will tell you with a straight face that they want everybody to be looked after. Just not by the government but by church charities. They basically want a return to the early 19th century when po' folks used to have to go cap in hand and ask "pleassir" at the local church when their kid got sick. They believe that healthcare is just another commodity available to those with the ability to pay so if you can't pay the "fair market rate" you are a charity case.
ReplyDeleteThis charity crap already happens. I've read about people going to church regularly who wouldn't otherwise do so just so they can get on the good side of the pastor and get themselves some charity. It therefore stands to reason that churchy Cons would hate the government getting into the health insurance business because they see it as a great way to get more butts on pews. And they can turn the working poor back into subhuman unfortunates to be pitied and treated like pets, given charity so the giver feels all holy about themselves. It's some sick bullshit.
