Public Option v. Corporate Interests. (Hmm... how'd that work out?)

"A stunner - the Democratic push to get a public option in the Senate bill is killed - and get this, it was killed because Democrats voted against it. Are the Democrats fighting each other now?"

Greta Van Susteren, Fox News

Yup. Sad as it is to admit, we've been let down by a bunch of half-assed sophisticate Democrat pols every bit as determined as the Republicans to put corporate interests ahead of public interests.

The majority who want a public option put their hopes in Rockefeller - a guy so loaded he don't give a f*** about pleasing the health insurance overlords - and we lost. This is the triumph of vested interest over democracy, of greed over integrity, of ignorance over common sense. Can anyone say 'third party'? (Ross Perot need not apply.)
