Kentucky Lynching Update

Catherine "Berserkaroid" Bachmann: "Hey, what'd I do?"

It's now revealed that Bill Sparkman's hanging body was found not only with the word 'fed' written on his chest, but also with his census worker identification tag taped prominently to his neck. Andrew Sullivan, everyone's favorite gay-Catholic-liberal-conservative, sums up:

"If this was a revenge murder for stumbling upon a meth lab or pot plantation, it's hard to understand why such a big deal would be made out of his census identification card. It's possible, I suppose, that anger at the feds in general could make a drug dealer murder a census worker. But the most worrying possibility - that this is Southern populist terrorism, whipped up by the GOP and its Fox and talk radio cohorts - remains real. We'll see."

For context, let's remind ourselves of the words of Michelle Bachmann and how they could not possibly have stoked anti-government paranoia and/or had anything to do with inciting murder:

"If we look at American history, between 1942 and 1947, the data that was collected by the Census Bureau was handed over to the FBI and other organizations at the request of President Roosevelt, and that's how the Japanese were rounded up and put into the internment camps ... I'm not saying that that's what the Administration is planning to do, but I am saying that private personal information that was given to the Census Bureau in the 1940s was used against Americans to round them up, in a violation of their constitutional rights, and put the Japanese in internment camps."

  1. They've really lost their shit. I actually feel kinda sorry for cons like Snowe who have to align themselves with these freaks...
In a recent spot on FOX and friends, Beck claimed that he had conducted "research on" the so-called concentration camps being built by the Obama White House as part of a conspiracy to establish totalitarian rule in America and the he could not "debunk them." According to Beck, "If you have any fear that we might be heading toward a totalitarian state, look out. There is something happening in our country and it ain't good."

  2. I still can't imagine how any sane person could stomach registering as a Republican these days. I wonder who'll crack first and launch a new party? Will it be the loons or the sane GOPers who are sick of the loons?
