Ron Paul Doesn't Believe in Evolution. Clearly, Evolution Doesn't Believe in Ron Paul Either.

Says Ron Paul, Tea Party Papa Smurf, when asked whether he believed in evolution:

I think it's a theory...the theory of evolution and I don't accept it as a theory. But I think the creator that I know, you know created us, every one of us and created the universe and the precise time and manner and all. I just don't think we're at the point where anybody has absolute proof on either side.

Big f*cking surprise. Ron Paul only believes in really stupid theories untainted by common sense. Evolution was probably considered by this ancient, febrile mind years ago and stamped "rejected" within nanoseconds... then dumped in the trash alongside all those other "unproved" theories like gravity, heliocentrism and compassion. So Ron Paul's an ignorant pr*ck? Big deal.

But there's one thing that really, really, really irks me: how f*cking dare goons like Paul, Bachmann, Perry, etc., loftily "reject" the theory of evolution and posit their own half-assed ideas as equally valid when the world's greatest scientific minds have spent the last century studying evolutionary science and are convinced utterly of its truth? So much evidence amassed, so much thought expended, so much intellect applied... yet Ron Paul can just say "nah" and have that accepted as a counter-theory? A bunch of provincial numbnuts can just stand up and reject an entire branch of science and counter it with nothing more than prejudice, willful ignorance and neo-medieval religiosity??? This is anti-common sense at its most fanatical. I wish there was a name for it... oh, hang on, there is: conservatism.

So much crazy...

Today I caught myself wondering if Reagan's policy of closing down America's mental hospitals was really a deliberate, long-sighted enabling of the Tea Party. Really. This theory would make a lot more sense than anything that's ever emerged from Ron Paul's foaming mouth.

  1. Ron Paul doesn't believe in the "theory" of evolution (proven repeatedly over a century or so of rigorous scientific study and debate..by you know..actual scientists)...and yet is so captivated by the inane "economic" rantings of an atheistic Russian lesbian, that he was moved to name his son after her, and also pattern his entire socioeconomic world view.
Cognitive dissonance, double think or early onset alzheimers (very, very early)... Imagine the mobius loop of nutzoid ..swirling around in that shriveled little head.
Oh...and isn't he supposed to be a doctor of some sort?
