The Party of F*ck Y'all

So far, the GOP nihilists are promising to thwart middle class tax cuts, repeal healthcare reform and have gone so far as to filibuster the defense authorization bill because they support our troops soooo much (apart from the gay ones).

This is the first time in 48 years that the Senate has failed to let a defense authorization bill go through. This is pretty much unprecedented - especially for them 'pro military' Republicans.

But even after all that, even after Gingrich threatens to shut down government again if the GOP win a majority, I still hear the "oh both sides are as bad as each other, nothing gets done in DC" line. And it drives me frickin' insane. What the f*ck more do Republicans have to do (or more specifically, not do) before conservatives realize what's going on here?

Hell, things have gotten so bad even those corporatist shills at the US Chamber of Commerce are actually backing a Democrat in West Virginia. Wha..? Selling a Democrat to those maniacs is like setting up a Birkenstocks and unicorn figurines booth at an NRA convention... just how bad the GOP must be doing to not get their automatic seal of approval is almost scary to imagine.

"We're endorsing Joe because he understands the economic challenges our country is facing and has a record of supporting policies that allow businesses to create jobs," Lisa Rickard, executive vice president of the U.S. Chamber. At least someone still remembers how to ignore the BS and vote for their own interests.

But still I'm hearing the mantra "oh both sides are as bad as each other, nothing gets done in DC" . Jeez, people, wake the hell up!

  1. I agree, but Joe Manchin is not really a democrat. He is what we call here in WV, a republicrat. Runs under the democrat banner to get the coal miner vote, but is a corporate lackey for the big coal companies and any other corporate interest that will grease the, uh, wheels of politics.
