Dumb Cons

Gingrich's new bag of criticizing Obama for being an 'anti-colonialist' begs this rather obvious 'question of the day' at The Daily Dish:

In a country founded by Washington, Adams, Paine, Hale, and Jefferson, how can we have reached a point where it has become a slur to call someone an "anti-colonialist"?

Unfortunately, rather obvious questions beg rather obvious answers: because too many Americans have grown comfortable with being proudly, defiantly and almost militantly stupid.

In years gone by these people were ignored and labeled idiots. But now, as William F. Buckley rolls in his grave and David Frum collects unemployment, we call them conservatives without even smirking ironically.
