Jeezuz Thugs V. Dead Kids

From CBS News:

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (CBS) 15-year-old Phoebe Prince moved from Ireland to Massachusetts, with the promise of a new life. Instead, she took her own life, to escape allegedly vicious bullying, on Facebook, text messages, and in school, and now angry residents of her South Hadley, Mass. community want answers, and punishment for the bullies.

According to The Boston Globe, Prince was relentlessly bullied by girls who called her "a slut," or "an Irish slut." On the day of her death, Jan. 14, Prince was walking home from school when bullies drove by in a car, hurling insults and an energy drink in her direction. Prince kept walking to her house, straight to her closet, and hanged herself.

As an averagely decent and humane person, you might assume anyone - Christian or not - would want to protect kids like Phoebe Prince. You'd think they'd welcome schools trying to stop bullies making other kids lives so miserable they're driven to suicide. Right..? Wrong.

Candi Cushman, an "education analyst" for James Dobson's Focus on the Family is attacking school programs aimed at stopping bullying. Why? Because this granite-hearted Jeezuz slut thinks they're really fronts to advance the "gay agenda".

"We feel more and more that activists are being deceptive in using anti-bullying rhetoric to introduce their viewpoints, while the viewpoint of Christian students and parents are increasingly belittled," Cushman told the Denver Post. In other words, f*ck those unfortunate enough to get bullied. We can't let a few dead kids like Phoebe Prince interfere with our Christian right to pick on people we don't like.

To say Cushman and her FOF stormtroopers are beneath contempt is mild. I am literally ashamed to live in a society where these pr*cks are allowed free rein to undermine basic concepts of right and wrong and spread their self-serving hate. First Amendment or not, this is not opinion. This is not free speech. This is criminally reckless incitement to hatred spewed by thugs whose beliefs are so opposite to the message of Christianity they'd make Anton LaVey want to pray for them.
