In the interests of saying something positive for once, let's give praise where praise is due. And to Laura Bush no less.
Says Little Green Footballs, "Laura Bush goes off the right wing reservation. Big time." And good for her. However irksome it may be to the wingnuts, she is expressing support for gay marriage and a woman's right to choose. Wow.
I admit I've long had a sneaking admiration for her anyway. I always assumed she married George partly out of a selfless sense of duty, an instinct to improve him back in his cokehead waistrel years... And that, to me, would seem a noble thing.
And imagine the horrors we could have faced over the past decade if the missus had been less liberal in her inclinations. Sure, Bush f*cked up royally. But without Laura, imagine how much worse it could have been.

Herb, Don't for a minute think that Laura Bush or MonkeyBoy himself had one tiny bit of influence when it came to the real policy of this corp[o-fascist administration. Laura sat around popping valium and looking like a stepford wife for the duration. Georgie sat in the oval office and flew paper airplanes while Cheney, Rumsfeld and the rest of the white house staff took orders from who knows who, but I suspect Bush the Elder and his underground corporate cronies had their hand in things often.
