For conservatives, the following statement is true and as far as you need to go: "Premiums Would Rise under Health Reform".
But what's also true is that premiums will rise a f*ck of a lot more if no reform bill is passed and the insurance companies are allowed complete freedom to gouge at will.
So while the first statement may be true, it's a bit like making a model plane and leaving out most of the parts... It's technically a P-51 Mustang. But then it's not because it only has one wing and no propeller.
If you have more than two brain cells bouncing around in your head, this makes sense. If not, you might just be a conservative who's more interested in eating the glue than building the model. Take this 'fact' from Business Insider for example:
"The public is clearly opposed to the Democrats’ health care bills. Americans want to scrap these big-government plans and start over with common-sense, incremental reform."
Another prima facie fact that shrivels in the daylight of reality. This might be true, but what is the current bill under negotiation if not incremental reform? Hopefully the first of many increments.

Ah racism wrapped in socio-polical commentary. How quaint. The guy's tee shirt says it all.
ReplyDeleteAh sh*t! Don't make me stick up for teabaggers... at least that's a Lynyrd Skynyrd t-shirt.
