Sound Logic on Healthcare Reform's Uncivil War

I can't link to anything because I've clean forgot who said it, but I was watching Countdown last night and a female Dem Senator came out with an astoundingly logical, cut-the-crap argument about the GOP war on healthcare reform. Words to the effect of:

"They know it will work. That's why they fight it. If they thought it would fail, they'd let it pass because they'd know it would damage the Democrats."

Tell me if I'm wrong, but ain't that the G-damned truth?

The GOP operate like a third world domestic terror group fighting a civil war. They might wave flags and pretend it's all for the people, but they don't give a rat's behind about anything but their own agenda. Everything is expendable, the Republicans must win at all costs... even if the whole country is reduced to a metaphorical pile of burnt ash in the process.

Let's use the mystery senator's logic: a bill the GOP may secretly admit will help the people (a bit) and go some way to redressing the imbalances and iniquities of our corporate dictatorship would be just another target in their 'ends justify the means' civil war. Screw you guys, America, we're in it to win it!

By the same token, if they really thought 'Obamacare' promises the great disaster they pretend, they'd be more than happy to let it pass. They'd gladly throw the entire country under the bus happy in the knowledge that Obama had scored a fatal own goal.

If you don't hate these people, you must have hit the snooze button. Or had Dick Armey slip a rufie in your 'patriot tea'.
