Republican, Sex scandal, minor... you fill in the blanks.

Kevin Garn, Utah’s GOP House majority leader, is in hot water (he he...). During his unsuccessful U.S. congressional bid in 2002, Garn paid a woman $150,000 to keep schtum about him "skinnydipping" in a hot tub with her when she was 15-years-old. But the hush money has apparently run out:

A woman identifying herself as Cheryl Maher told The Salt Lake Tribune that she and Garn were in a hot tub nude when she was 15 years old.

“This has just been a nightmare for me,” Maher said in a telephone interview with the newspaper from New Hampshire. “I just want to tell the truth because it’s part of the healing process for me.”

Not that I'd defend a Republican pedo who got naked with a 15-year-old girl, but I almost feel sorry for the sleazebag now he's learning that blackmailers don't quit.

"I just want to tell the truth" and "healing process"? Way to dress up grifting as victimhood and give a big, fat f*ck you to genuine victims of abuse who didn't have the foresight to turn their stories into bank.
