In 325 A.D., the Roman Emperor Caesar Flavius Constantine convened the Council of Nicea to unite the Christian church.
In 2010 A.D., Glenn Beck loosed off a tirade of ignorant garbage urging Christians to "run a mile" if their churches preached "social or economic justice".
Beck may well have accomplished as much for Christian unity as Constantine himself. Aside from the megachurch a**holes, all Christians in America seem to be united in opposition to his heinousness:
"[H]e managed to outrage Christians in most mainline Protestant denominations, African-American congregations, Hispanic churches, and Catholics.
He also managed to bring the National Council of Churches--once a powerful umbrella organization for Christian churches--out from hibernation, in the form of a withering response from leader Peg Chemberlin. Progressive evangelical leader Jim Wallis, taking a page from his conservative counterparts, is calling for Christians to boycott Beck's shows."
Who said Beck does no good?
