Are We Stupid? It's Tempting to Say...

Via CNN:

Two-thirds of Americans think that the Republicans in Congress are not doing enough to cooperate with President Barack Obama, according to a new national poll. But a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey, released Wednesday morning, also indicates the public says that the Democrats should be the ones to take the first step toward bipartisan cooperation and they want the Democrats to give up more than the GOP to reach consensus.

Another one of those occasions when it's too easy to conclude we're all just f*cking stupid. Please... America needs a refresher course in Democracy 101 and the ancient principle of majority rule. I thought we understood this stuff???

  1. Yes, this country is full of ignorant proles. It's ridiculous how fucking dumb these morons really are considering there is more access to information than ever before. Perhaps that's the bad thing. In the old days people took what information they could find and read or listened carefully. Then they digested and pondered that information. They sat down with their friends and co-workers and discussed it in a calm logical manner. Hence, with less information, they were better informed.
Nowadays, the typical dumb fuck getting 24/7 media input and loud brash sound bites is overwhelmed and looks for some easy answer to it all, hence, Fox News is the most watched news channel in the tube.

  3. The diff is that in the old days information was like a drip drip of potable water. Now it's more like a Tsunami of raw sewage.
