SOTU Fail

Over at CNC, those crafty Canucks have used a word cloud to summarize Obama's 7,000 word SOUTU speech last night. All the right words but...

Then today we all get one of those morning-after emails from Obama asking for support:

"I just finished delivering my first State of the Union address. I set out an urgent plan for restoring economic security for struggling middle class families. This is my top priority, but I cannot do it alone -- and that's why I'm writing to you now. Can you help fuel our fight for the middle class with a monthly donation of $15 or more?"

Sorry Barry. I don't want to sound all peevish... But we "middle class" folks are hitting poverty and it hurts. And you're asking for our money? In those immortal words of Janet Jackson, "What have you done for me lately?"

As long as there are Democrats in the Senate wanting to renew Bush's tax cuts for the rich, as long as you're touting spending freezes in the midst of a recession, as long as you're bailing out Wall Street billionaires and ain't doing squat for us, you can kiss my broke ass.
