I can't help propping Bill O'Reilly for this exchange he had with Palin. They're talking about her shambolic 'what do you read?' interview with Katie Couric:
Palin: I think if most normal Americans were put in the same position that I was there, they'd probably look at her and have that proverbial eye roll and say are you kidding me?
O'Reilly: If they knew.
Palin: Are you suggesting that I don't read?
Thanks Bill! (Don't worry, I'll get back to hating you tomorrow.)

No, most "normal" Americans would stop for a minute, think and then begin a response that sounds something like "Well, I regularly read. . . and sometimes I pick up . . . but my favorite thing to read is. . . "
ReplyDeleteNo Alaska Mutt, you're just a dumb ignorant housewife who was at the wrong place at the wrong time and we've had to suffer through your 15 minutes of fame for the past year and a half.
If by book you mean 'Toaster Strudel box' and by read you mean 'heating instructions'.
