We Ain't Big on Readin'

With a population of nearly a quarter-million people, this city could soon be the largest in the nation without a single book store...

Please say it ain't in Texas, c'mon, Mississippi? I hear they're pretty dumb in Connecticut...

...the Laredo store is among 49 remaining B. Daltons nationwide that Barnes & Noble will close by next year.

Motherf***er! Why must it be Texas?

  1. Reading is becoming passe. Why read a book when you can watch a movie about the same thing? duh

  2. I think there's a big correlation between public transit and book reading. When I lived in a city and went to work by train I read a lot. Now I don't use public transit, I've gone from a book per week to maybe one or two a year.
