Operation Balls of Fire Exposes Security Paradox

I'm sure that the Nigerian guy who tried to blow up the NorthWest flight to Detroit yesterday (but only succeeded in incinerating his own balls) will cause the wingnuts to stampede like spooked cattle because that's what they do. Bless 'em, they're not good in a crisis.

But if there is an issue here to freak out about, how about the fact that the wouldbe bomber was ""on a U.S. "terror watch list" but not on the "no fly" list, which would have prevented him from boarding the flight."

How in the name of Jesus Christ on a f*cking bicycle can you be on a "terror watch list" but not also on a "no fly"? At the very least, wouldn't being on a "terror watch list" entitle you to special attention like... err... a cup-and-search for hidden explosives?
