Comparing Apples to Horse Sh*t

One thing that always bugs the f*ck out of me is the wingnut media's attempts to tar liberal journos with the same brush that is used to expose their own infantile non-professionalism. For every O'Reilly-Sucks.com, there's an Olbermann Watch. For every Mediamatters.org, there's a Liberalconspiracy.org.

But even the most ardent wingnuts can only bluster about 'bias' (on self-professed liberally inclined shows like Obermann's) or accuse 'lefties' of being crazy because they express perfectly rational opinions the wingnuts dislike. We are in no way talking apples for apples.

Wingnuts lie. Liberals don't.

This might sound like a crass, partisan generalization but it's pretty hard to find conservatives actually accusing liberals of straight-up lying whereas conservative scribblers and blatherers are caught red-handed nearly every day of the week.

Plus by any reasonable gauge, libs like Olbermann have more journalistic integrity and professionalism than most of the corporate hookers pretending to be analysts on Fox could ever dream of having if, indeed, they cared about such things. If you don't believe me, check Olbermann Watch's front page. They accuse him of bias, of being insane, of hurting conservatives' feelings. But the only Olbermann lie they can find?
