As a non-gay dude with nothing more than an abstract sense of fairness vested in the equal rights debate, I take off my hat to the Gay rights advocates marching on DC.
Sometimes, when I ponder LCD TVs, the Web and our new black president, it's easy to think I'm living in a modern, progressive kinda world. But then I remember that one in ten people in this country are still being discriminated against because their pee-pee/hoo-ha preferences vary from the societal norm. Suddenly I'm in a time machine being transported back to darker times filled with Whites Only bathrooms, cartoon Jews clutching money bags and recreational wife beating.
Irrespective of whether or not God frowns on it, irrespective of whether or not you find the habits of gay folks icky, really... WTF??? It's 2009 people. Why are 10% of law-abiding, taxpaying citizens still being treated unequally and why is our government still pandering to the hate-vote by ignoring said discrimination?
