David Rohde, the New York Times reporter kidnapped by the Taliban, claims he was well treated by his captors.
"They vowed to follow the tenets of Islam that mandate the good treatment of prisoners. In my case, they unquestionably did. They gave me bottled water, let me walk in a small yard each day and never beat me."
So even a bunch of stone age sadists who cut off hands, lynch people from cranes and beat folks for buying toilet paper have better standards for treating prisoners than Cheney and the Neocons. Yay. the conservatives must be so proud.

Well, I dunno, afterall, they do cut people's heads off, lynch them from bridges and things like that, so I'm not sure I'd give them any higher grades than Cheney and Co. It kinda hard to grade barbarism, but we CAN do something about those who perpetrate barbarism from America. . . we can make them stand trial and pay for their crimes.
