No, it's not Rush Limbaugh's colonoscopy, it's the Hadron Collider at CERN.We ain't big on particle physics round these parts, so I'll break it down easy. Some brainiacs are worried about the Hadron Collider at CERN having 'negative impacts' (i.e., setting off some crazy-ass chain reaction that would destroy space and time itself. Even Arkansas.)
So after the Collider crapped out nine-days after being... err... lit(?), two physicists published papers theorizing that the
"Higgs boson (don't ask) has traveled back in time to prevent its own creation."Like I said, we ain't big on particle physics round here and my knowledge on the theoretical possibilities of time travel are pretty much covered by Back To The Future, parts one through three. But it sure sounds like they've got some good weed up there at CERN.
Oh, and
"The Higgs boson is a massive scalar elementary particle predicted to exist by the Standard Model in particle physics." I said don't ask, didn't I?
