Pat Buchanan's Mein Kampf Moment

As far as far-right, racist scumbags go, Pat Buchanan is quite likable in a curmudgeonly kinda way. He's a bit like someone's grandpa who got drunk at a family reunion and forgot his meds react badly with alcohol.

But Pat's World Net Daily column today appears to be advocating race war and armed insurrection. This isn't 'curmudgeonly' and senility is no excuse.

Pat's got a big hard-on for the Oath Keepers (in his words "ex-military and police who repledge themselves to defend the Constitution, even if it means disobeying orders.") and expresses a lot of love for disgruntled white supremacists who are mad about Obama. He signs off with this line explaining the plight of America's white racists:

"America was once their country. They sense they are losing it. And they are right."

Naturally, this Mein Kampf-style nonsense will appall every liberal in the country (how will Rachel Maddow ever be able to speak to 'Uncle Pat' again?). But really it's those same white, gun-owning Christians Pat's sucking up to that should be offended most by his rabble-rousing platitudes.

People on Pat's team only care about the rights of the wealthy to gouge the country. Period. Does anyone really believe they could give a s*** about Christianity, morality and the welfare of working people? If they could, they'd bulldoze the churches, sell off the United States to Saudi Arabia and build Glenn Beck's FEMA camps themselves to tidy away the white trash so they don't have to look at them as they drive to their country clubs.

It's called the bait and switch, teabaggers. Get a damn clue.
