After expressing frustration with 'Inaction Man' Obama yesterday, I was surprised to hear about him being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this morning. Apparently, I am not alone:
"The awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barack Obama landed with a shock on darkened, still-asleep Washington. He won! For what?" Says the AP.
The AP's opinion that "the prize seems to be more for Obama's promise than for his performance" would seem to make sense. Hopefully 2010 might see Obama as the proud recipient of the Nobel Actually Doing Something Prize.
But whether or not Obama does deserve the honor, it's going to be worth it just to hear the whines of the wounded wingnuts. Over to you, Glenn Beck...
