Israel Spying on US, Part Two

So Anonymous dude accuses me of trying "to gain cheap attention as well as show a bias... sadly too close to the Fox News sensationalist and dishonest Grub Street tactics" because I forgot to add a rhetorical question mark to my headline 'Israel Spying on US'.

OK, Anonymous dude, I take your point. The guy at NASA was actually trying to sell classified information to an FBI agent posing as an Israeli spy. So I should not have been so hasty in accusing Israel.

But why is it considered almost treasonous to suggest that Israel spies on us? It's not opinion, it's fact. And why is it unreasonable to then wonder why we happily shell out 2.55 billion dollars a year in aid to a country that treats us, in this respect, like a hostile power?
