Despite threatening to cancel her scheduled appearance at today's "Restoring America" Tea Party rally in Indianola, Iowa, Sarah Palin decided to show up after all. Not many other people did though. Photographic evidences suggest that at least 30 percent of rally attendees were cardboard-cutout Sarah Palins.

Oops... Texas Police Chief Busted by Anonymous

Haven't heard from the Internet avengers for a while, but Anonymous are back. They just leaked three gigs of old emails they found laying around on Texas police servers. Says Gizmodo:

Unsurprisingly, there's some damaging stuff in there—beyond the fact that this was all supposed to be private law enforcement dialogue.

The very first email, subject line "Stupid Bitch", is a racist classic:

That stupid bitch who started that stolen car chase at Yale and 610 got what she deserved (I'll bet she was fat and black too). Same with that pervert that got shot by the county. Fuck that guy, see ya. That all sounds like good police work to me. Those folks got the criminal cure. It's guaranteed, they will never commit a crime again.

Sick, Stupid F*cks

The Republican Party of Arizona's Pima County, as represented by Gabrielle Giffords, is advertising a fund-raising raffle. The prize? A shiny new Glock .40 - the same gun used by Jared Loughner to shoot Giffords in the head and kill 6 others during his shooting spree last year.

Wow.

My friends sometimes tell me I shouldn't get so mad about Republicans. Some of them even try to persuade me that Republicans are just people too... How about now?

Now Pima Country GOP Chairman Pro Tem Mike Shaw tells CNN's Randi Kaye that raffling off the same kind of gun that was used to shoot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was completely appropriate because the congresswoman also owned a similar weapon:

"It was the actions of Jared Loughner that happened during the Tucson shooting so Jared was the one who was responsible," Shaw explained. "He could have used any type of weapon and chose to use a Glock -- I think it was a Glock 19. We're raffling off a Glock 23, which is a slightly different weapon. But, again, it was his actions that are responsible for what happened during the Tucson shooting, and so really the argument about what happened here in Tucson shouldn't be about the weapon."

What a crowd of utterly bewildered, amoral motherf*ckers Pima county Republicans are showing themselves to be if that's the best excuse they could come up with.

Oh my... the "Freedom Works" Koch suckers are getting all froggy with Mitt Romney for trying to ooze his way into their favor. Although he has much with which the 'baggers could sympathize - a wealthy business goon rolling up his French cuffs to peddle fake populism [check], an unknowing catalyst of classic double entendres [see above] - he's also a Mormon. Eww! Mormons might be an almost exclusively white, far-right minority but they're a minority nonetheless so... minority alert! Abort, abort! (or whatever a "pro-lifer" would say instead.)
